Dear diary, and also you, dear readers😁,
We have started our 1️⃣week of team volunteering in Hopeland funded by the European Solidarity Corps. 15 young people from around Europe 🇮🇹 🇪🇸 🇱🇻 🇵🇹 🇩🇪 🇸🇰 🇨🇾 🇬🇷 🇫🇷 share an aim: to use our hands, minds and hearts to support Hopeland’s activities and experience living in an eco community.
👁 We keep our eyes wide open to explore this beautiful space and experience how to live and work together.
🫶🏼 After our arrivals, we got a kind welcome from the long-term Hopeland crew and we started getting to know each other and our new home through introduction activities.
⛺️ Our first official working activity was to put up the tents for us and all the groups coming to Hopeland this year - you are very welcome 😁
🌱 Another highlight was to sift horse poop for plastering the floor of the round building (smells better than expected 😅)
🌻 Our life in Hopeland is structured through different daily and weekly tasks such as cooking, cleaning, watering plants and taking care of animals 🐓🐈🐕 - so everyone gets the taste of living and contributing to this space.
🌞 For now, it’s 1:0 for the weather: we already froze, got wet, sunburned and April is not even here yet 🤣We can’t wait for our next adventures here!
